Yamaha Raptor 350 (for 13 to 16 years old)

The Yamaha Raptor 350 is one of the best ATVs I can recommend for 13 to 16 years old riders. It offers so many amazing features that make it very powerful.
In fact, the Yamaha Raptor 350 is the most sworn rivals in the market today, especially among Honda models, while many riders say that the Yamaha Raptor series is the best on the market.
Price
The Yamaha Raptor 350 costs $5,000 and is among the most expensive models on this list.
Even though its price is very expensive and a lot of riders will not be able to invest $5,000, the Raptor 350 is an old model on the market. So, there are loads of riders selling it used at a very low price of even under $2,000.
Notable features
The Yamaha Raptor 350 has a powerful 4-stroke engine that can reach a crazy maximum speed of over 75 mph which is what makes it more suitable for 15 or 14-year-olds. However, for 13-year-olds, the Raptor 250 can be excellent because its maximum speed is in the 50 mph.
For parents who are worried about the high speeds, the Raptor 350 does show some safety features such as 6 different transmission speeds and excellent disc brakes.
In addition, the dimensions of the Raptor 350 are a bit big and tall for 14-year-olds, but with this, I am sure that for it’ll be excellent for 15 years old. Its seat height is 32.3 inches and its weight is 375 lb.
Also, my favorite thing about the Raptor 350 is its amazing design that I think is the most beautiful on this list and even more than the Honda models. It also has a very strong and high-quality construction which guarantees you an excellent durability.
Opinion
In my opinion, the Yamaha Raptor 350 is the perfect ATV for those who love the Yamaha models and it will be a great fit for 14 to 16 years old while for 13 years old, I would highly recommend the Raptor 250 which shows almost the same specification except that its size and speeds were much better and suitable for 13-year-olds.
Suzuki QuadRunner 160 (for 13 & 14 years old)

The Suzuki QuadRunner 160 is the most recommended ATV for 13 and even 14-year-olds and it simply offers everything the ATV should have at a very low price.
In addition, the Suzuki 160 is the safest ATV for youth from all the models on this list and what I like about it is that its maximum speed is not too high and it’s also not boring and slow.
Price
You can buy the Suzuki QuadRunner 160 at a very low price of about $2,799 which is about half of the price of most ATVs on the list, making it the cheapest ATV on the list. If you are looking for a cheap ATV that offers great performance, the QuadRunner 160 is probably the best option for you.
Notable features
The Suzuki QuadRunner 160 has a 158cc four-stroke, single-cylinder engine that is simply excellent and fits perfectly for 13 and 14-year-olds and the maximum speed it can reach is 45 mph.
In addition, the QuadRunner 160 is very easy to use and offers 5 Transmission speed that works with reverse automatic clutch. Something that surprised me is that it also has an electric start which makes it very easy to operate.
The dimensions of the QuadRunner 160 are simply perfect for 13 and 14-year-old riders; it’s 155kg in weight and its seat height is 28.5 inches.
Opinion
The Suzuki QuadRunner 160 is by far the best ATV on the list for 13 and even 14-year-olds.
Conversely, for 15 and 16-year-olds, I would highly recommend the other models on the list like the Honda 300ex, but if you still love Suzuki, you can definitely export its other models that are much more monstrous and powerful.
Honda 300ex (for 14 to 16 years old)

To me, this is by far the best ATV for 13 to 15 years old. The 300ex performs amazingly well and is simply a reliable and easy to handle ATV.
I would highly recommend the 300ex for boys between 14 to 16 years old because it can be a little too big and massive for 13-year-olds, but they can export other ATVs on the list and can also buy the 250 model which is more suitable and safe for their age.
Price
The Honda TRX300EX can be priced at $4,749. It can be very expensive at first but believe me, it is worth every dollar because of the amazing performance it presents.
I personally would highly recommend you buy it used where you can get it for around $1,000 to $2,000 and even less.
Notable features
The Honda TRX300EX introduces an excellent single-stroke 4-stroke engine and some will say it delivers a very high speed while its maximum speed is between 50 and 55 mph which I think is an excellent speed for most kids.
In addition, the TRX300EX has a very big advantage, which is a very safe ATV for riding while offering 5 different transmission speeds that are controlled by an automatic transmission, and of course, its braking system is a disc type.
Another thing is that the TRX300EX can fit most 13 to 16-year-olds, it’s 390-pound in weight and its seat height is 30 inches.
Opinion
In my opinion, the Honda TRX300EX is the perfect ATV for riders between age 14 and 16 and even 13, and it offers everything a child needs to have on the ATV. In addition, I would, even more, recommend it to Honda enthusiasts.
Arctic Cat 300 DVX (for 15 & 16 years old)\

The Arctic Cat 300 DVX is not an ATV that stands out more significantly features than the other ATVs on the list and is even very similar to the Honda 300ex ATV, but the only one I can tell you is that it stands out from the rest of the ATVs due to the powerful super engine it has.
I would much recommend The Cat 300 DVX for children between ages 15 and 16, while for ages 13 and 14, it may be a little less suitable except for those that are advanced and have some experience on ATV.
Price
The Arctic Cat 300 DVX is sold at $4,299 which is cheaper than the Honda TRX300EX, but it is still expensive. So, I would recommend you buy it used but bear in mind that it is more difficult to export it with a used model because of its relatively new model in the market. So, it’s important that you do your search very well.
Notable features
The most notable feature of the Arctic Cat 300 DVX is its powerful 4-stroke engine. It is manufactured by Suzuki technology and capable of producing crazy maximum speeds of 60 to 70 mph.
The dimensions of the Cat 300 DVX are great for boys. It’s 193 kg in weight and its seat height is slightly higher than 34 inches, so it is perfect for tall children.
In addition, the Arctic Cat 300 DVX introduces an automatic transmission system and uses no manual transmission system, which I think is a bigger advantage.
Opinion
In my opinion, the Arctic Cat 300 DVX is an excellent ATV that is very similar to the Honda TRX300EX and it can certainly be excellent especially for children of 15 to 16 years or below, but you have to make sure your child is an advanced rider who has some experience in ATV riding.
Honda Rancher 420 (for 15 & 16 years)

The last but not the least is the Honda Rancher 420. It is one of the best and the most monstrous ATV on the list suitable for 15 and 16-year-olds.
However, Rancher 420 will not fit everyone because of the high price it is being sold for, which I will talk about below.
Price
You can buy the Rancher 420 for $7,699 and sometimes even more, so this is definitely a very high price for ATV which will only fit those who have the budget and want a monstrous ATV.
Also, the biggest drawback is that there is not a lot of used Rancher 420 on the internet because of its relatively new model on the market, so it will be very difficult to get its used but you can still give it a try.
Notable features
The Honda Rancher 420 has a 4-stroke 420 cc single-cylinder monstrous engine and can reach a max speed of above 70 mph which means it will much better suits ages 15 to 16.
In addition, the Rancher 420’s dimensions are excellent for 15 and 16-year-olds. Its seat height is 33.7 inches and one thing I personally really liked about the Rancher 420 is its very beautiful design by Honda. To me, it is much beautiful and impressive than the Honda 300ex mainly because of the new design technology that Honda used.
Opinion
In my opinion, the Rancher 420 is the most powerful and impressive ATV on the list and it can fit perfectly for advanced riders and even beginners of age 15 and 16.
