In fact, it is super important that tall riders should get a dirt bike with high enough seat and overall height and width so that they can sit comfortably and ride with fun.

Honda CRF450R
The CRF450R is probably the best dirt bike for high riders in my opinion. In 2007, Honda officially announced that the CRF450R is optimized and built for high riders. This model truly shows perfect comfort and fit for high riders and is highly recommended for riders over 6 feet and above (1.90m and above).
And beyond the height, the CRF450R is one of the most historical and good dirt bike models you can find. It shows a powerful performance, and the best thing about the CRF450R is that it can suit you for loads of activities like racing, hiking, and even road riding while the CRF450R is far from a good choice for beginners, it’s more designed and recommended for experienced or advanced riders, or even medium ones. This is because Honda upgrades it every year; even a new version was released last year, and with all the upgrades and improvements, believe me, the CRF450R is not suitable for beginners and even more dangerous.
Price
You can buy the Honda CRF450R at a price of $9,399 which is pretty expensive. In fact, Honda made this dirt bike for those who are willing to pay such amounts, and believe me, it worth the price because the CRF450R is really a monster machine that worth every dollar you pay for.
Plus, you can of course always buy it used because there are tons of people willing to sell. Most of the used CRF450R will cost you between $5,000 and $8,500 while buying the previous year’s models will be a cheaper deal.

- Powerful engine – The Honda CRF450R has a powerful 449.7cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder four-stroke engine that can provide you with a maximum speed of between 70 to 80 mph (112 to 128 km). It is considered to be the best and most powerful 450cc engines that have ever been in the market and the best thing is that Honda continues to upgrade it every year by nurturing the CRF450R engine which I am sure will continue to remain one of the best 450 cc engines in the market.
- New modes system – The biggest improvement Honda made for the CRF450R. This is a new system called Honda Select Torque, which means pull control that responds by reducing your torque to help the rear wheel compete while allowing 3 available maps that also have a standard map, a smooth map, and an aggressive map.
- Very impressive design – The Honda CRF450R has a lot of hardware features, and I think the most important thing for you is its design which is just perfect and looks good with an amazing shape, plus its high-quality construction that can make me assure you it will be the most beautiful anywhere you take it to. It is available in red, white and black.

The Honda CRF450R is simply the perfect dirt bike for tall riders as I have said earlier, for any man over 1.90m (6 feet and above) and will provide enough space and height for tall riders. Its seat height is 37.8 inches and weighs 247 pounds (110 kg). It’s pretty heavy, but with that in the field, you won’t feel it and very light when riding, a lot of thanks to its engine.
Opinion
In my opinion, the Honda CRF450R is the best dirt bike for high riders, and at the same time, one of the most powerful and reliable in the market. It is mainly designed and perfect for racing and this is where it excels the most. So, if you want a strong dirt bike for racing and you’re also over 1.90m high (6 feet and above), then the CRF450R is the perfect choice for you.
KTM 300 XC-W
Another model for racing is the KTM 300 XC-W, which gives a scary performance and perfectly suits tall riders just like the Honda CRF450, but differs in that the KTM 300 XC-W can accommodate very tall riders of even over 2.0m (7 feet) compared to the Honda CRF450 that will not necessarily deliver for very tall people.
In addition, for those who do not know, the KTM 300 XC-W is upgraded from the last few years of previous models of the regular KTM 300. The new model offers amazing performance, and of course, the XC-W will only suit advanced riders, it is not even recommended for beginners because it’s really powerful and will provide you with crazy speed that you didn’t even think about.
Price
You can buy the KTM 300 XC-W at a crazy price of $10,000 which is not a price that every rider can afford, so the KTM 300 is really recommended for those who are really willing to invest and pay its full price because it worth it.
For used of the KTM 300, it will be very difficult for you because it is a relatively new model in the market, so only a few are using it, but if you find its used, it will just be a few hundred dollars difference and you can as well find a cheap deal but only in rare cases.

- Powerful engine for racing – The KTM 300 has a 1-cylinder engine and 2-stroke engine 300cc that is considered to be the best engines in the market and capable of giving you a crazy speed of over 90 MPH (144 km), which will give you a simple speed and acceleration in the race while the engine is going to give you the best feeling because it’s built for racing.
- Amazing feeling when riding – The feeling that the KTM 300 will give you is the feeling that is rare among dirt bikes. It will really give you everything fast stability, agility, ease of riding and even maintenance — which together create a perfect dirt bike. I say perfect and I really mean it because I did not find one drawback in it, which makes it amazing to use.
- Improved design and construction – There are lots of good things in the KTM 300, but the best thing, in my opinion, that KTM did in XC-W is a nicer design and much higher quality construction that is far better than its previous models.
Dimensions & why it suits tall riders
You will see that this KTM 300 XC-W is pretty good for tall riders and as I told you, it can fit even people over 2 meters (7 feet) tall which is really impressive because not all the dirt bikes on the list can do that and this is mainly because of their 37.8-inch seat height and 223.3 lb. (101 pounds).
Opinion
In my opinion, the KTM 300 XC-W can only fit really high riders, and of course, a very high level of rider participating in very prestigious races. Please note that the KTM 300 XC-W is not for fun or terrain riding but only for race, and not like the CRF450R, which can be used for racing and some other things. So, the KTM 300 XC-W is only suitable for professionals who are willing to invest the money because $10,000 is not a joke anyway.
Suzuki RM-Z450
Well, if until now, I have been showing you dirt bikes for advanced riders, it’s time to show you the Suzuki RM-Z450 which can fit both advanced and beginner riders. It also provides great performance for beginners and I am even sure it will satisfy the professionals.
In fact, the Suzuki RM-Z450 is a very good dirt bike for high riders with a minimum height of 1.95m (6.5 feet) while it can also be excellent for advanced riders, but it is important to know that the RM-Z450 is not the best dirt bike because the engine is 450cc and it is still very expensive. So, if you want to invest, it is better to invest in Honda and Yamaha models that will give you much more power than RM-Z450 but keep in mind that the RM-Z450 is still considered one of the best 450cc models in the market, just that it isn’t the best.
In addition, a lot of people say that 450cc is not appropriate for beginners, yes, they are right, but with that, the RM-Z450 has a 450cc engine that is powerful but not as powerful like Honda or Yamaha’s dirt bike, so it’s all on you and what you want.
Price
You can buy the Suzuki RM-Z450 at a price between $8,000 to $8,999, again, it is a little bit expensive, but with that, it still worth the price and the best thing is that when you start riding, you can still be satisfied with it even after you advance in your riding level because like I said, the RM- Z450 is suitable for both beginners and advanced developers.
Also, I will not recommend you buy the RM-Z450 of the past few years because Suzuki has not shown very significant changes that I think are worth the extra bucks, so I highly recommend you buy the older versions of the RM-Z450 to save money.
As for buying it used, it could be a great idea because most of the RM-Z450 used is sold between $7,000 to $5,000.
Notable features
- The RM-Z450 has an excellent 449cc, liquid-cooled, four-stroke, four-valve, DOHC engine that simply delivers superior performance while reaching a maximum speed of 75 mph (120 km) which is quite impressive but may not match your expectations because the Suzuki engine is good and strong but not the strongest for 450cc engine in the market.
- What I like most about the Suzuki RM-Z450 is that it is designed for racing and can reach very high speeds. It is still in my opinion, the safest 450cc in the market mainly because of the disc brakes that give very powerful braking power and the ease of use of the Suzuki, and of course, it is always stable and durable throughout any surface you want and can work well with low speeds.
- Very easy operation – The RM-Z450 is very easy to ride and operate because of its crane kick and ultra-smooth power supply, as well as high fuel efficiency and excellent reliability. Although the RM-Z450 has no electric start, it still does not affect too much and the engine is very easy to operate.
Dimensions & why it suits tall riders
The RM-Z450 has proven to be a great dirt bike for high riders and has higher dimensions compared to the rest of the models on the list. Its seat height is 37.8 inches and its weight is 247 lb. (112 kilos).
Opinion
In my opinion, the Suzuki RM-Z450 is definitely a good dirt bike for high riders over 1.95m (6 feet) and suitable for both beginners and advanced riders, but it is important to know that it is not good in the 450cc engine class but will still give you a great performance which I am sure you will be very pleased with.
Yamaha YZ250
If I have been showing you dirt bikes sold at a crazy price, it is time to show you the Yamaha YZ250, which is sold at a much lower price and just perfect for very high riders. I personally would not recommend the YZ250 for beginners because although it is 250cc, it is still considered a crazy model of dirt bike that fits for races.
In addition, I would personally recommend the YZ250 to only those who are really a true Yamaha fan, and you must have experience on at least one other model before you start riding the YZ250 while it’s recommended to medium and advanced riders.
Price
You can buy the Yamaha YZ250 at a normal price of $7,499 which is really a great price for it while noting that the last year’s model will cost more expensive than previous year’s models due to upgrades and improvements made by Yamaha to YZ250.
Dimensions & why it suits tall riders
Although the Yamaha YZ250 has high dimensions, it will still be able to fit riders of over 1.80m (5 feet and above), and this compared to many other models on the list which are less suited for lower riders. Its seat height is 39.1 inches, its overall height is 50.8 inches, and it weighs 227 pounds (102 kilos), which may sound heavy on paper, but feel like a feather on the field.
Opinion
In my opinion, the Yamaha YZ250 can easily fit all heights from high to average, and this is something Yamaha is very good at. Although it is 250cc which doesn’t sound scary, I personally would not recommend it to beginner riders because this is very deadly when it comes to Yamaha, so make sure you have experience with at least other dirt bikes before you embark on the YZ250.
Yamaha WR250F
The Yamaha WR250F is the best dirt bike for tall women who are beginners. I would recommend it for tall riders because the overall frame and overall size of the WR250F is very wide and tall, making it perfect for tall riders.
Plus, the best thing about the WR250F is its engine, which is of course, not powerful and designed to go at low speeds and is just perfect for beginner riders. Even it will let you crash with it safely as compared to other dirt bikes since they are designed for beginners but can still be dangerous because they are just not designed for low speeds.
Price
You can buy the WR250F for $8,599 which is super worth it while there are also lots of sellers that sell it used at very low prices, even sometimes half of the original price.
Dimensions & why it suits tall riders
The WR250F is quite tall and wide, which can fit any woman above 1.75 meters or more (4.5 feet or higher) in height. Its seat height is 38 inches and its total weight is 258 pounds (117 kilos) which is quite heavy, but this is even more of a benefit because the heavy weight slows down the dirt bike which is great for beginner riders.
Opinion
In my opinion, the Yamaha WR250F is the perfect dirt bike for beginner high riders while it is also one of the best models you can find for beginners because it really is rare to find dirt bikes designed for beginners in such a way that they can ride at slow speeds and still enjoy
KTM 150 XC-W
Another KTM on the list is the KTM 150 XC-W which is designed for beginner riders and thought-provoking field enthusiasts. The 150 XC-W made huge success worldwide and is considered the best dirt bike for beginner riders and of course among the 150cc engine class.
In addition, the KTM 150 XC-W is excellent for tall riders because of its high dimension and wideness that give room for tall people comfortably. I would recommend the KTM 150 XC-W to riders over 1.80m (5 feet).
Price
You can buy the KTM 150 XC-W for a relatively low price of $6,500 to $7,500 which very well worth its price. Getting its used is also a great idea because it is still for beginners and there are lots of beginners who use it for a few months and then sell it.
Dimensions & why it suits tall riders
The KTM 150 XC-W is an ideal dirt bike for high riders, and I personally would recommend it to high riders of at least over 1.80m (5 feet) in height, and the most surprising thing is that it would be more comfortable for riders that are even above 1.90m (6 feet) because it is very wide and tall with precision like the KTM 300. Its seat height is 37.8 inches and light in weight — 201 pounds (91.5 kg) — which makes it feel like a feather on race.
Opinion
In my opinion, the KTM 150 XC-W is great for beginners who still want a KTM dirt bike that is not very powerful to learn how to ride a bike, so the KTM 300 is too powerful for you as a beginner while the KTM 150 XC-W is great for you.
Kawasaki KX250F
The Kawasaki KX250F is another great dirt bike for high riders. It is
actually an upgrade of Kawasaki and really shows great features and
enhancements that make it a very powerful and strong dirt bike, especially for
its 250cc.
I would highly recommend the Kawasaki KX250F for medium or advanced riders,
although it is 250 cc, it is still considered very powerful and fast and yet I
still see some people recommend it for beginners because it is 250cc. I do not
recommend it for beginners; I will recommend the Yamaha WR250F instead, which
is far better for beginners.
Price
You can buy the Kawasaki KX250F at a price of $10,599, which is very expensive.
In addition to buying it used, it might be a good idea, but with the KX250F, it will be more difficult to find because it is a very new model in the market. But with that, you can still find its used for a few hundred dollars difference, but you will discover that used models of KX250F look like a new straight from the nylon.
Dimensions & why it suits tall riders
The Kawasaki KX250F can unequivocally fit any high rider. It is simply perfect and super comfortable and feels very flat and wide. Its seat height is 37.2 inches, its overall height is 50 inches and its weights is 104.7kg (230 pounds). I would recommend it for people that are up to 1.85m (5.5 feet and above).
Opinion
In my opinion, the Kawasaki KX250F is definitely one of the best models Kawasaki has released in recent years. I would recommend it only to advanced or medium riders and not for beginners even though it is 250 cc.
