Razor Dirt Quad

The Razor Dirt Quad is the coolest ATV I have personally seen for kids and it is the amazing design that makes it super cool.

The Razor Dirt Quad will suit children between the ages of 6 and 12 because it has much better performance than the other ATVs on the list, but it can also easily fit kids aged 13 or maybe even a little bit older.

Price

The price of the Razor Dirt Quad is about $400, which is a very cheap price considering all the powerful features and specifications it has.

Features

The Razor Dirt Quad offers an excellent 24-volt battery system that consists of two different batteries, each of them has 12 volts. This offers a riding time of up to 40 minutes, and it takes about 15 hours to recharge the battery after each use.

Also, the Razor can deal with weight of up to 120 pounds, which is considered an excellent weight.

My favorite thing about the Razor is that it can reach a high speed of about 10mph, which gives it a pretty big advantage over its competitors. Being able to ride at higher speeds which will make your child enjoy it more.

And if you’re worried about the high speed, just know that your child will have excellent control of the speeds because of the ATV’s great disk brakes.

The thing that I personally really like about the Razor is that it has very strong and durable 13-inch tires. The size allows the ATV to ride in just about any weather and terrain you want, such as mud, snow, sand, gravel, and grass. This also makes it perfect for racing.

Disadvantages

As much as I like the Razor Dirt Quad, it does unfortunately have some drawbacks that I need to point out. It is important to remember that all of these drawbacks are my opinion.

The thing I personally like least about the Razor Dirt Quad is that it requires a very long charging time of 15 hours, which can cost you a lot of money on your electricity bill, especially if your child rides every day. Therefore, I personally suggest that you only let your child ride on weekends, and not every day.

Another drawback I found with the Razor is that it comes with mounting parts that take at least half an hour to assemble, and sometimes even more, which can be very annoying.

Opinion

In my opinion the Razor Dirt Quad is without a doubt one of the best ATVs for children up to the age of 12, however, it can easily suit older children because of its powerful specifications and performance.

ATA-110B1 TaoTao

The ATA-110B1 TaoTao is a great ATV for children aged 10 to 12, and I can assure you that this is the safest ATV to ride compared to the rest on this list, and this because of the amazing safety features that it offers.

The ATA -110B1 TaoTao provides great performance relative to its cheap price. It may not compare to expensive models like Honda TRX90X but this is definitely great value for the price and I am sure that your child will love and enjoy it.

Price

The price of the ATA-110B1 is between $500 to $800, which is considered to be a very cheap price.

Features

The most noticeable thing that the ATA-110B1 offers is that you can control the speed at which your child rides and limit the speed according to their level. This gives it a very big advantage over its competitors who don’t have that option, and significantly lowers the chances of your child having an accident.

In addition, the ATA-110B1 is operated on a gas engine rather than electric and its engine is 110 cc which is, in my opinion, the perfect engine volume for children aged 10 to 12. It’s not too high but also not too low. It helps keep your child safe but at the same time they can also enjoy the ATV.

Another very big advantage to the ATA-110B1 is that it is very easy and fun to use, mainly because it has an electric start-up, which is very helpful, and also because of its excellent automatic transmission.

It also has a fuel capacity of 2.3 liters, which is considered to be an excellent capacity relative to its size, and the seat height is only 26 inches.

It comes with very strong lighting which makes it very easy to ride at night and in case your child has to stop, it comes with great brake lights and high-rise brakes.

The ATV can also be remote controlled up to a range of 200 meters.

It weighs 154 pounds which is perfect for kids because it is not too heavy and not too light.

The design is very child-friendly and I believe that your child will love it. is available in different colors such as red, black, maroon, blue, pink and 3 others.

Opinion

In my opinion, the ATA-110B1 is a great ATV that is very safe for children aged 10-12. I personally would recommend it to children aged 10 because the structure of the ATV is perfectly adapted to this age, rather than 11 or 12 year olds.

In my opinion, the TRX90X is without a doubt an excellent ATV that is considered to be the best in the market for children between the ages of 10 to 12. You get a 1 year warranty when you buy it and you can find it in just about any local store in your area because the TRX90X is very popular and marketed worldwide.

Razor 500 DLX

Another ATV from Razor is the 500 DLX which is designed for children between ages 7 to 14.

The Razor 500 DLX is an ATV that presents very good performance, it’s even better than Honda TRX90X. It is designed for children who want a strong ATV that can reach very high speeds.

Price

The price of the Razor 500 DLX is between $500 – $1,000, which is a great price for what it offers. I want to remind you that the Honda costs $3,000 and, in my opinion, the 500 Razor DLX has better performance.

Features

The Razor 500 DLX has very powerful features and performance therefore, I personally would only recommend it to kids who have experience riding on ATVs.

The Razor 500 DLX has a 500-watt engine and a 36-volt battery, which is divided into 3 batteries, each of which has 12 volts. This gives you a total of 40 – 60 minutes riding time and a range of 10 miles. It can reach a maximum speed of 15 kph, which is considered a relatively fast speed for children, thus making the ATV perfect for adrenaline junkies.

The thing I loved about this Razor is the excellent powder coated steel frame which protects it from injury in a great way. It’s very resistant to all weather and you can ride it almost anywhere.

In addition, the Razor displays the internal gearbox to help speed up and it also has disc brakes with a manual brake, which significantly reduces the risk of having an accident. In my opinion, a manual brake is much more efficient and comfortable than a foot brake.

The maximum rider weight is up to 220 kg which makes it excellent to load equipment on it however, the Razor Dirt Quad has a maximum rider weight of just 120 pounds.

Disadvantages

The only downside I found with the Razor 500 DLX is that it only comes in white and I personally love its design, but white paint can get dirty very quickly which will mean you need to clean the ATV more often.

Opinion

In my opinion, the Razor 500 DLX is an excellent ATV that is suitable for riders who want to ride at high speeds in order to get an adrenaline rush when riding. I also think that it is even better than the Honda TRX90X, which makes it a very serious competitor.

Honda TRX90X

The Honda TRX90X is, in my opinion, the best ATV you can find for children aged 10 to 12. The best thing about it is that it offers very strong and powerful performance but at the same time, it is very safe to ride.

Price

The price of the TRX90X is between $2,800 and $3,000, which may be a bit expensive but this price is very good compared to all the powerful performance the TRX90X offers. You need to remember that this is a leading model in the market.

If it is too expensive for you I recommended you buy a used TRX90X so that you can save money. Also, your child will grow up and need a new ATV about every two years, especially between 11 and 12 when they start to grow up very quickly.

Features

The Honda TRX90X has a powerful 4-stroke 90cc engine and 1.7-liter fuel capacity that is perfect for kids under 12. I personally do not recommend this ATV for children older than this because they need larger engines of 125 cc or higher.

Also, something I really like about the engine is that it doesn’t make too much noise and so your child can go and ride without disturbing too many people. It also has an electric start which greatly facilitates its use.

The TRX90X has drum type brakes that do the job well, especially as the ATV is very light, thus allowing the rider to stop easily. In addition, the TRX90X is very safe and easy to control because of its excellent four-speed gearbox and the automatic clutch also helps.

The dry weight of the TRX90X is 151 pounds and the seat height is 26 inches, which is considered an excellent average height for every child between the ages of 10 and 12.

The design and appearance of the ATV is very beautiful and children love it, and it is available in red and white.

Disadvantages

The biggest drawback I think is that it doesn’t have disk brakes, which kind of lowers the quality of the brakes. I personally would love to see the following Honda models have disk type brakes.

The second disadvantage is that the TRX90X is expensive compared to its competitors. After all, not everyone can spend $3,000 on an ATV and because of that, I highly recommend you buy it used.

Opinion

Summary

To summarize, in this post I showed you the 4 best ATV models that I can recommend for kids aged 10 to 12 years old.

I personally recommend the Razor 500 DLX and Honda TRX90X for those who want a powerful ATV that delivers very high performance.

However, the ATA-110B1 TaoTao and the Razor Dirt Quad can be great for beginner riders.

Thanks for riding. Until next time.
